City & Guilds 1886 Level 3: Award For Deliverers of Conflict Management Training.

Logo

Workplace violence and aggression is a growing concern in many industries including those in the public sector. Where the risk of workplace violence exists, employers have a legal and moral duty of care to provide adequate training and resources commensurate with the risk that staff face in their line of work.

This has lead to a nationaly recognised qualification being developed in order to meet the HSE requirements thus meeting the employers duty of care in providing Conflict Management Training to staff. Over previous years there have been many variations such as Violence and aggression training or conflict resolution.

Who is the course for?

The purpose of this City and Guilds 1886 scheme is to provide trainers with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to deliver effective, realistic and relevant training in Conflict Management or Conflict Resolution. It provides a recognised qualification for those who want to train others to deal with any types of violence in the workplace (e.g. teach C&G 1884). It is a qualification that will equip you to train a wide range of workers, security operators, door supervisors, NHS and all those who interact face-to-face with fellow workers and the public.

The course is designed to give experienced or new trainers hints and tips in preparing scenarios both for conflict management and indeed any other type of training. Scenario based training is often a training tool neglected due to many having had bad experiences of scenario/role play in the past. We aim to demonstrate how this can become an enjoyable part of any training package for both student and trainer.

City and Guilds 1886 Award is suitable for those who work, or want to work as Trainers of:
