Bespoke Close Protection Driving / Anti-Ambush Driving Course Each member of a Close Protection team has a specific role and although as a team member you may find yourself fitting in to many differing roles it is vital you have the relevant training to allow the team to work to its full potential. A Close Protection driver needs to be highly skilled and knowledgeable on all aspects of driving and risk awareness including everything from driver awareness and risk management skills through to evasive and anti-terrorist driving techniques. It is also essential that basic Chauffeur skills are developed for the day to day duties required of a Close Protection Driver. The Close Protection Driving course covers all these required skills including driving in hostile environments and driving in the UK where many of the driving techniques need to be adapted in order to remain within the law and avoid attracting unwanted police attention. The Close Protection Driving course is designed to give you the necessary skills to be able to transport the principal and your team with safety and security in mind. Chauffeuring skills and etiquette are equally as important and you will be guided through the various aspects of becoming a professional Close Protection Specialist driver / chauffeur. Course Instructor As with all our training courses our specialist driving instructor is highly experienced in all aspects of driving and Close Protection having been employed on countless high and low profile jobs as a specialised Close Protection driver and instructor of over 10 years. Course duration 3 or 5 day courses are available depending on your requirements. Accommodation Accommodation is provided at the Britannia Hotel ideally situated next to our training centre and includes bed, breakfast and evening meal. Criteria You must hold a full UK or European Driving licence with no alcohol related endorsements within the last 5 years. Minor motoring offences will be accepted at our discretion.
