BIIAB National Certificate for Designated Premises Supervisor
The BIIAB National Certificate for Designated Premises Supervisor course was developed in conjunction with local government, the police and the industry, to support the new post of Designated Premises Supervisor created by the Licensing Act 2003.
It is designed to provide them with an understanding of their role and the responsibilities both within the Licensing Act 2003, and additional regulatory issues. The qualification also addresses the practical day-to-day issues involved in running the licensed premises.
Who is the qualification for?
For Designated Premises Supervisors, and for those who may be required to take up this post in the future, working in any type of licensed premises including:
pubs and bars
hotel and restaurants
off-licences, supermarkets and convenience stores
sports and social clubs
nightclubs and entertainment establishments
and any other venue or site where alcohol is sold.

1 day.

The requirements of legislation and best practice to support the four licensing objectives
