BTEC Level 3 Advanced Driving

Those working in the security industry as drivers, or whose role involves driving such as Chauffeurs, Close Protection Officers or Surveillance Operatives, need to be highly skilled and knowledgeable on all aspects of driving including everything from driver awareness and risk management skills through to evasive and anti-terrorist driving techniques.

The Advanced Driving course offered by Wilplan covers all of these required skills including driving in hostile environments and driving in the UK where many of the driving techniques need to be adapted in order to remain within the law and avoid attracting unwanted police attention.

The course is also designed to give you the necessary skills to be able to transport a Principal and Security Team both safely and securely. Chauffeuring skills and etiquette can be equally as important and you will be guided through the various aspects of becoming a professional Close Protection Specialist Driver / Chauffeur.

The modules covered are:

Module 1
Awareness & Risk Management Skills, Route Planning, IED Searching, Personal & Vehicular Security

Module 2
Anti-Hijack & Skid Training

Module 3
TAC Driving – High & Low Profile Drills

On successful completion of all the modules you will receive:

A Wilplan Certificate of Attendance
Skid Control Certificate

You are also eligible to take the RoSPA Occupational Advanced Driving Test (Road Test).

Should you pass this test you will be awarded an Advanced Driving Award Certificate for the level achieved (Gold, Silver or Bronze).

We will then be able to apply for your BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Advanced Driving
