Securing work after completing the course is a concern for many. As with any industry it is impossible for anyone to guarantee work on completion of a course before you have even begun it.

While we cannot guarantee you employment (realistically who can on the basis of a phone call?) we do guarantee that the work is out there and we will give you all the help and support you need to make that transition from student to employed Close Protection Officer and ensure you have the best possible chance of gaining your first job in Close Protection.

It’s important to us to give you everything you need to start your career as a Close Protection Officer. We will always work with you and give as much support as possible to enable you to do this.

On any course you choose to do with Wilplan Training you will be taught by experienced trainers with 'hands on' knowledge allowing us to provide you with personalised and professional training that can only enhance both your professionalism and career prospects.

We also operate a very close network of Close Protection and Surveillance operatives around the UK and abroad. Once you have completed the course, those that meet the high standard required will be able to approach a great many employers that are keen to accept newly trained Close Protection Officers from our training course due to the high standards we set. All our Instructors are still working in Close Protection today and we are often asked to provide personnel for various roles.

You will be added to our database and told of any work as and when it comes in, likewise you will be encouraged to keep close contact with those on the course as this can often lead to employment through word of mouth.

Pay

How much can I earn is often one of the first questions we are asked and the answer depends on various things such as:

1. How long the contract is for

2. Who the Client or Company is

3. Where your contract is

4. Your experience and or qualifications

Close Protection Officers without experience will normally start on RST (Residential Security Team) & low level security. For these types of roles you can expect to earn £100 - £200 a day.

For high risk areas and roles of responsibilities you can expect to earn between £200 and £500 a day however again depending on the variables mentioned above rates can exceed £500.
