Firearms Training For Close Protection Operatives (included in the 21 Day Close Protection Course) Course Details: 2 Day ASAA Handgun Our firearms training courses lead to a recognised official ASAA qualification that is ideal for Close Protection and PSD work. The two day course held in our modern indoor range in Geneva, Switzerland iIncludes all tuition, ammunition, weapon hire and personal protective equipment. This course is ideal for an introduction to the ASAA system and for those wishing to work overseas in the security industry or as a refresher for previously acquired skills. No previous experience of firearms is required. On completion an ASAA certificate is issued. Course Modules: First Aid for Gunshot Wounds Rules of weapon handling Naming of parts Weapon familiarization operation and mechanical function Stance, position and grip technique Loading and unloading drills Sight picture and aiming including target and multiple target engagement Drawing and re-holstering drills Tactical reloads, speed reload and stoppage drills Stances: standing, kneeling, prone Close quarter combat drills Accommodation & Flights: 2 nights bed and breakfast hotel accommodation and transfers to and from the range and the airport are included in the price. Please note: Flights are not included in the stand alone course. The student is responsible for their own travel arrangements to Geneva and any costs involved unless booked as part of 21 day Close Protection Course. Suitable even for those with no previous experience of firearms. This course will take you from the basics to the more technical aspects of the use of the Handgun and Assault Rifle. The certificate gained is equivalent to Foundation pistol with module 'A' and Foundation Assault rifle. The course is finished off with a short test. For those that have already completed and passed the 2 day pistol course, you will be taken a stage further in your training and your pistol skills will become second nature. You will also have the added advantage of already being familiar with the ASAA system. Course Modules / Skills: First Aid for Gunshot Wounds The Four rules of weapon handling Naming of parts and how a rifle works Correct stance and position and grip Loading and unloading Sight picture and aiming Target engagement Tactical Reload Stoppage drills Stances: Standing, Kneeling, Lying Multiple target engagement Close quarter drills Carry and Ready positions Qualifications Gained: ASAA UK Division Foundation and Module A Handgun.
