ASAA Intermediate Handgun Course
Our firearms training leads to a recognised official ASAA qualification that is ideal for Close Protection and PSD work.

This course should only be considered as part of a professional requirement.

Included as part of the BTEC Level 3 Award in Close Protection Operations or available as an additional course, the training is held in our modern indoor range in Geneva, Switzerland. It includes all tuition, ammunition, weapon hire and personal protective equipment. This course is ideal for an introduction to the ASAA system, for those wishing to work overseas in the security industry or as a refresher for previously acquired skills. No previous experience of firearms is required. On completion an ASAA certificate is issued.

Course Modules:

History & Introduction
First Aid for Gunshot Wounds
Rules of weapon handling
Naming of parts
Weapon familiarization operation and mechanical function
Stance, position and grip technique
Loading & Unloading drills
Sight picture and aiming including target and multiple target engagement
Drawing and re-holstering drills
Tactical reloads, speed reload, and stoppage drills
Stances: standing, kneeling, lying
Close quarter combat drills

If undertaking this firearms course as part of the 21 day fully residential Close Protection course then package two is included at no additional cost.
