Physical Intervention Tutors Course
Wilplan Training Ltd are working in conjunction with Conflict Management Specialists Maybo and Skills for Security to provide this high quality, legally and medically reviewed training program that is fully accepted by leading orgonisations including th Security Industry Authority (S.I.A)

The physical intervention tutors programme for the security industry is approved for use with the new SIA licence-linked qualifications. This means trainers successfully completing this five-day tutor training course will be able to deliver the Physical Intervention award for new door supervisiors (level 2) qualification, and themselves hold a level 3 qualification in Delivering physical intervention training.

The Maybo Licensed Tutor Programme meets the criteria for the new Level 3 award in Physical Intervention Training and those who wish to gain this qualification will be able to apply for the award once it becomes available. No further training or evidence will be required.

What are the entry requirements?
Those wishing to enrol on this course must hold a recognised teaching qualification at level 3 or higher and must also hold a level 3 qualification for training conflict management (1886). In addition to this delegates must be able to evidence sector competance in the area they wish to deliver the programme.

What does the course cover?
The five day course will reinforce existing conflict management skills along with disengagement skills through to holding and escorting. The skills taught fall in to bot restrictive interventions and non restrictive.

What do I get?
Once you have succesfully completed the programme you will become a Maybo Licensed Tutor which gives you the ability to deliver training in Physical Intervention under an approved centre. Each tutor will receive the following on day 1 of the course;

  • A 200 page colour tutor manual
  • CD- RoM with PowerPoint slides and course documentation
  • A 32-page A4 colour workbook for delegates
  • Comprehensive Centre resources from pre course letters to risk assessments and assessment documentation

Trainers will also receive a Skills for Security accredited certificate in physical interventions and will also be elibiblefor the new SIA related Level 3 Qualification in the delivery of PI Training as this becomes available.

What does it Cost and where and when are the courses?

Course Fees
The course can be undertaken on either a residential or non-residential basis and the fees are as follows:

Non-Residential: £790.00 plus vat including all training materials, lesson plans and teaching resources to meet the level 2 awards.

Accommodation for Residential Option:

Single rooms are available at £57.00 per person per night including VAT for bed, full breakfast and a three course evening meal.

Also included is free wireless internet in all bedrooms and communal areas together with full use of the Health, Fiitness & Leisue Club for the duration of your stay. Further details can be found on our "Residential Options" page.
