Security Officer Level 2 Award in Security Guarding (Static and Patrol) Who is the course for? For those currently working as a Security Guard or those wishing to begin working as a Security Guard. On successful completion of the course, and passing the required examinations, delegates will be able to apply for an SIA licence to work as a Security Guard. Please click here for a list of jobs requiring a licence.   What are the entry requirements? There are none however basic levels of English literacy and numeracy are assumed. You must also be able to provide proof of Identification and proof of address as per SIA guidelines. Please click here to see acceptable forms of Identification. How long is the course? 4 Days. What does the course involve? In order to apply for an SIA licence, delegates must complete and pass both units as outlined below and if succesful will achieve a level 2 award in Security Guarding.
